About the Art

‘Visions in Motion Korea’ is an outdoor installation that was displayed at the ‘Let’s DMZ Peace Arts Festival” held annually in the Korean Demilitarized Zone. This piece was also exhibited in Berlin to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Berlin Wall.

100,000 strips of sailcloth fabric were draped upon a curved, wall-like structure, symbolic of the bending of the border between North and South Korea. Festival attendees were invited to contribute to the artwork by writing messages of positivity, unity, and peace on the fabric strips.
