About the Art

‘Body Sculpture’ is a robotic installation that combines sculpture and performance. It consists of advanced technologies, including motion capture software, machine vision, a custom-engineered stage deck, and industrial gantry. At the center of the performance is an industrial robot arm specially programmed to perform alongside a cutting-edge animatronic Cube, which is eerily faceless while producing uncanny human-like motion.

The artwork debuted at the National Gallery of Australia, one of its largest acquisitions. Working alongside Wolfson was a production team that consisted of industry-leading experts and vendors: Mark Setrakian, Spectral Motion, Concept Overdrive, Killstress Designs, and Moco FX.
